Secret Alley

by Giorgio Ventola
On the surface Chicago is the city of big shoulders with so much historically important architecture. But it is also a city with a good amount of remnants from the Capone ear, with literally hundreds of "secret" underground passages, back doors and alleyways with character. Derrik and Jamie wanted a lot of urban character represented in the coverage of their wedding that took place at an art gallery in a renovated space located in a historic meat-packing district, which still has much of that industry, and the grit that surrounds it, in this neighborhood. While for many people the "Bean" represents Chicago, for others, it's little secret spots like this that represent the unique flavor of the city.
